Sa Mulberry Paper Production

To celebrate the 50th birthday anniversary of Her
Majesty the Queen, the Royal Chitralada Projects built
a Sa Paper Factory and decorated it with old teak
from palaces and throne halls. This project aims to
serve as a research and development facility for the
production of Sa mulberry paper and products as well
as Thai traditional handicrafts.

To make Sa paper, put the stirred fiber in a pond and add water. Use a
nylon sieve to take out the Sa fiber. Let the fiber dry for 1-2 days and take
the paper out of the sieve. Dye can be added in the pond to make colourred
paper. More fiber can also be added in the pond to produce a thicker paper
to be used for gift wrapping.
