Dried Fruit and Bakery Production

The Royal Chitralada Projects started the dried fruits and vegetables production since Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn donated an oven for undertaking experiments on drying garlic. After that, gas and electricity ovens were also presented. There is also a greenhouse located on the roof top used for drying herbs, fruits and vegetables.

Examples of dried fruit products are dried bananas which are baked in the oven with no sugar added, dried star fruits, dried tomatoes and dried pineapples.

The bakery production was started in 2001. There were experiments in utilising undersized dried fruits or remnants of the fruits in producing fruit cookies and cakes. After that, it developed into a bakery activity that can now turn out many kinds of pastries.
