Rice-Husk Grinding Plant
| |
Following His Majesty the King’s concern about the maximum utilisation of agricultural waste, there have been experiments on using husks, byproducts from
rice milling, as solid fuel.
| |
Rice husk is sent to the Rice-Husk Grinding Plant for compressing and
heating. Heat will melt bio-chemical substrates in the husks to perform like
glue to produce husk briquettes. The briquettes can be used as fuel wood,
however, they cannot bind themselves when moist. Therefore they have to be
burned into husk charcoal. The charcoal is suitable for grilling as it generates
constant heat and more importantly does not produce smoke or flying ash. |
