PRODUCTS OF THE VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER

H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the Sai Jai Thai Foundation Chairman, has expressed her concern for those who can no longer return to their former occupations due to disability. Thus, her idea was to set up vocational training programs to remind these people that despite their disability and their inability to perform their former duties, they are still capable of working for their own benefit and that of the nation. They can help themselves by earning extra income to support their families in addition to the subsidies provided by the Foundation .
For the foregoing reasons, the Vocational Training Center was founded in 1980 to provide training in varied occupations. Initially, the center provided training in leather production, namely stationery ,briefcases, handbags and picture-frames. In 1986, it was followed by training in making designs on glass through the sandblasting method. These products include vases, bowls, plates and cups.
The training programs for the Foundation's disabled members have been improved to the point that the disabled can now produce quality handmade products that can be used as lovely gifts. Since they are not mass produced, they are all originals. H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the Foundation Chairman, and the Royal Family Members invariably use these products as royal gifts that are presented on appropriate occasions such as their state visits to foreign countries.
The Sai Jai Thai Foundation would like to invite all to buy the Foundation's products as a gesture of support for the disabled. Those who buy these products are not only helping to support quality Thai goods, but are making merit as well.
For orders of large quantities for special occasions, such as weddings, birthdays, wedding anniversaries and New Year, a special discount will be offered. The Foundation's products are available at.
