The Office of The National Culture Commission as a governmental unit responsible for cultural development is established by the Royal Act on the Office of the National Culture Commission B.E. 2522. The Act cites the importance of culture as national identities and an expression of unity that are a basic foundation of national sovereignty , and also the desirability of having a national body in charge of cultural development now being carried out by a multitude of cultural organizations. The Act was finally passed into law paving way for the establishment of the Office of the National Culture Commission to enhance the efficiency of cultural development.
